Poster Abstract Submission Details

We encourage poster submissions related to any area of cardiovascular disease at the annual symposium. We are pleased to announce that there will be 3 poster prizes to be awarded during the symposium of £100 each. To be eligible for a prize the first author must be present during the poster judging and be willing to provide a 2 minute oral summary of the poster they are presenting to the judging committee.

Please follow the guidelines below to submit your abstract.

  1. All abstracts should be typed and limited to a single side of A4 paper. Please submit abstracts in Times New Roman font point 12 single spaced. This is to facilitate printing of successful abstracts in the symposium handbook.
  2. The title of the poster should be relevant to cardiovascular disease and be no more than 150 characters in length.
  3. Please include all authors in the format of Surname followed by initial e.g. Smith, J. The first author must be the presenting author at the symposium.
  4. Please provide below the author names the department and institution of all authors.
  5. The body of the abstract should be no more than 400 words and should follow the format of Introduction, Methods, Results, Conclusion.
  6. Please provide up to 3 keywords at the end of the abstract. This is to enable grouping of relevant posters together for the symposium.
  7. Please submit your abstract as a word document to crg@sgul.ac.uk. The filename you submit should contain the presenting authors name and initial separated by an underscore e.g. Smith_J.doc. If there are multiple abstracts from the same author please add a suffix numeral to your filename e.g. Smith_J_1.doc.

 

All abstracts will be graded by the symposium committee and you will be notified by e-mail of the committees decision.
